Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1 can of evaporated milk (12 oz)
  • 1/2 cup of freshly brewed coffee (use our 100% Pure Espresso Ground Coffee)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns into a golden brown caramel.
  3. Pour the caramel into a 9-inch round baking dish and spread it evenly on the bottom.
  4. In a blender or food processor, combine the eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, coffee, and vanilla extract.
  5. Blend until smooth.
  6. Pour the mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
  7. Place the dish into a larger baking pan and fill the larger pan with hot water so it comes halfway up the sides of the smaller dish.
  8. Bake the flan in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until set.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
  10. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  11. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the dish and invert the flan onto a platter.
